This Privacy Policy explains how Lumina Bible - Telugu (the “App”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the App. The App is intended for Scripture reading, audio devotion, Bible AI, Reels, meditation tools, and related spiritual growth features. This app does not include community posting, sign-up, or sign-in features. The App is rated 4+ on the App Store and is suitable for users of all ages, with parental guidance recommended for younger children.

Quick summary

• No accounts. You use the App as a guest. We do not offer Apple, Google, or Facebook sign-in in Lumina Bible - Telugu.
• Local Bible data. Bookmarks, highlights, notes, reading streaks, and similar preferences are stored on your device unless otherwise stated.
• Server data. We send device and usage information needed to load content (daily verses, audio, Reels, dashboard data), run Bible AI, deliver notifications, and manage subscriptions.
• Ads (no tracking). Free users may see ads via Google AdMob. Premium subscribers do not see ads. We do not use data to track you across other companies’ apps or websites. App Store Connect App Privacy does not declare data as “Used to Track You.” Consent is handled via Google’s User Messaging Platform where required.
• No App Tracking Transparency prompt. Because we do not track users under Apple’s definition, we do not request App Tracking Transparency permission.
• Analytics. We use Firebase Analytics to understand feature usage and improve stability.
• Bible AI. We send your question text to our server to generate a response. AI answers may be inaccurate and are not professional advice.
• Internet required. The App requires an active internet connection to function.

1) Who we are

Lumina Bible - Telugu is operated by the developer at darkblueapps@gmail.com (“we”, “us”, “our”). This Privacy Policy applies to the Lumina Bible - Telugu iOS application, configured for Telugu Bible content and English/Telugu app interface languages.

Jurisdiction: India. If you use the App from outside India, your information may still be processed as described in this policy.

2) Information we collect

We collect information in two main ways: (a) information you provide or that is generated through your use of App features, and (b) information collected automatically by the App and our service providers.

3) How we use information

We use information to:

• Provide App features, including Home (daily verse, quotes, devotional cards, audio highlights, reading streak), Bible Reader (KJV Telugu text, search, bookmarks, highlights, notes, verse audio, explanations, Verse Creator), Explore Audio (devotionals, guided prayer, Bedtime Bible, full-screen player, background music), Ask to AI, Reels, meditation/prayer counter tools, widgets, and Settings;
• Deliver push notifications and local reminders you configure (via OneSignal and iOS notification services);
• Process Bible AI requests and display responses;
• Manage premium subscriptions and unlock ad-free and extended AI features;
• Display and measure ads for free users (Google AdMob) without using data to track you across other companies’ apps or websites;
• Analyze usage trends and improve stability (Firebase Analytics);
• Respond to support requests and feedback;
• Detect abuse, spam, or misuse of App services;
• Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use.

4) Sharing & third parties

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below.

4.2) Legal and safety sharing

We may share information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to: (a) comply with law or valid legal process, (b) protect users, our services, or the public, (c) investigate fraud, security issues, or abuse, or (d) enforce our Terms of Use.

5) Ads, consent, and tracking

The App may display banner and app-open ads to free users using Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). Premium subscribers do not see ads.

5.1) We do not track users (Apple definition)

Under Apple’s App Store definition, “tracking” means linking data collected from the App about you or your device with third-party data for targeted advertising or advertising measurement across other companies’ apps and websites, or sharing data with a data broker.

Lumina Bible - Telugu does not track users. We do not use data collected from the App to track you across other companies’ apps or websites. Our App Privacy disclosures in App Store Connect do not mark any data types as “Used to Track You.” Because we do not track, we do not present an App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission prompt.

5.2) How ads work in this App

Ads shown to free users are used to support the App. Ad-related data may be processed by Google for ad delivery, contextual/limited advertising, performance measurement, and fraud prevention as described in Google’s policies. We do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

5.3) Consent (EEA/UK and other regions where required)

Where required by law, we may request your consent for certain ad and measurement activities using Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP). Your regional consent choices may affect how ads are served, subject to Google’s capabilities and your device settings.

5.4) SKAdNetwork

The App may include Apple SKAdNetwork identifiers to help measure ad campaigns in a privacy-preserving way that does not rely on cross-app user tracking.

6) Bible AI

When you use Ask to AI / Bible AI, we send your question text to our server to generate a response. We may associate the request with your device identifier for service operations, abuse prevention, and optional history features.

AI disclaimer: AI responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. Bible AI is provided for informational purposes only and is not pastoral counseling, medical advice, legal advice, or other professional advice.

Please do not include sensitive personal information (health, financial, government ID, passwords, precise location) in your questions. You may report inappropriate AI responses using in-app report tools where available.

7) Data stored on your device

Many features store data locally on your iPhone or iPad, including:

• Bookmarks, highlights, and notes in the Bible Reader;
• Reading streak and engagement metrics;
• Appearance (light/dark), language preferences, and intro choices;
• Cached thumbnails, audio files, and Reels media (clearable via Settings → Clear Cache);
• Verse Creator drafts and exported images you save or share through iOS share sheet;
• Meditation and prayer counter session data.

Clearing the App cache removes downloaded media but does not delete your bookmarks, notes, or Bible text downloads unless you remove those separately.

8) Data retention

• Device-local data: retained on your device until you delete the App, clear relevant data, or reset preferences.
• Server-side device/profile data: retained as long as needed to operate the App and provide support, unless you request deletion.
• Bible AI questions: retained to provide history, improve experience, and support moderation where applicable.
• Feedback records: retained as needed to review and improve the App.
• Analytics and ad data: retained according to Firebase and Google Mobile Ads retention settings and policies.

Some data may remain in backups for a limited period or be retained longer if required for legal compliance, dispute resolution, or security.

9) Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. Network requests to our servers are made over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10) Children & age

The App is rated 4+ on the Apple App Store and is designed as a family-friendly Bible and spiritual growth app suitable for users of all ages. We encourage parents and guardians to supervise younger children’s use of the App, including Bible AI and in-app purchases.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact darkblueapps@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps to review and delete such information where required.

11) Your choices & rights

11.1) Data deletion requests

Because Lumina Bible - Telugu does not use sign-in accounts, deletion requests generally relate to server-side records associated with your device identifier. Email darkblueapps@gmail.com with the subject “Data deletion request — Lumina Bible - Telugu” and include your device model and approximate first-use date if known.

11.2) Notifications

You can enable or disable notifications in iOS Settings and in the App’s notification preferences. If you disable notifications, we will not receive new push tokens for messaging.

11.3) Consent & ad preferences

Where available, you can change ad consent preferences through Google’s consent flow (UMP). You can also review iOS Settings → Privacy & Security for advertising-related controls offered by Apple. Because we do not track users under Apple’s definition, the App does not request App Tracking Transparency permission.

11.4) Cache & local data

You can clear downloaded media cache in Settings → Clear Cache. Uninstalling the App removes locally stored App data from your device.

11.5) Access and correction

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain information by contacting us at darkblueapps@gmail.com.

12) Internet requirement

The App requires an active internet connection to load Bible content, dashboard data, audio, Reels, Bible AI responses, subscription status, and ads. If no connection is available, core features will not function and the App will display an offline notice.

13) International transfers

Third-party services (such as Google and Apple) and our servers may process data on servers located outside your country or region. We take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place where required.

14) Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Effective date” above when changes are made. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy, where permitted by law.
